The name for our local chapter has been decided! Welcome to Manes 'N Reins. We are a chapter in NC of OPRC (Old People's Riding Club). This year we hope to accomplish a 1x/mo. meeting either mounted or unmounted. The first two meetings will be focused on First Aid and CPR ("Man Down" response) followed up with a training at Wintree Farm.
Do not forget to send your dues to Marisa Epps. Her address is 517 Pacer Ln Marvin, NC 28173. Dues are $35 for single and $50 for a couple.
Looking forward to this new chapter and our new adventures in learning, riding and socializing together.

Thanks Denise for getting this set up for us. I am looking forward to the upcoming events that we have planned! As soon as Marisa gets back from her trip to Spain, she is going to arrange for us to take our "test" with the Pony Club examiner so we can go forward with mounted events. I thought I was done with school!
Denise , Great job This is wonderful. Once most checks are in April 1st you will get your membership card. I have Red Cross CPR first Aid for the first of May will confirm with Michele Sarno and get date and time in Stallings. Then D1 testing for the end of May . Please let anyone interested in joining. Now would be good, we will offer more testing but you can not ride in OPRC mounted meetings until you have tested. If you need a Study Buddy please email, nobody will fail this. Horses will be availble for the test if you do not have one. Vaulting with Carol Land (no horses needed) followed by De-Spooking with Mark Hausman then on to trail obstacle course We will be balanced, our horses will be balanced then we will be ready for some fun. I will have a schedule in April for the rest of the year. Well that's it for now. My boots and chaps are packed. Buenos Noches, Catalonia Mountains to Coast here I come. ( I hope I don't regret not getting the Monkey Butt Powder.)
