Calender of Events

Ok, We are off and running be sure to check out the national OPRC website . There is a great big welcome to Manes 'N Reins. D1 testing is going on now, a few are already done, way to go 6 more will be done Tuesday June 10 at 6:30 pm Carol Land's. You may schedule with either Carol (704-843-4306) or Dominique at Honeysuckle Farm (704-200-8408) You must pay them $10.00 for the testing or can also use any certified riding instructor of your choice.Call me if you have any questions or need help. my cell 704-560-9715
June 30 Obstacle course in Gibsonville $25 We just found out this is more than 2hrs away . Not sure if everyone is still interested in going please email and say yes or no.
July 12 Horse Expo Raleigh Drive together split gas
July 17 Wine and Cheese night and Pat and David Brooks House 7pm in Waxhaw call them for Directions 704-843-8242 Topic Horse Camping and Trail Riding In and Around NC everyone welcome to bring info on great places . Bring a Cheese, Dip, Cracker or Bottle of Wine to Share
July 26 and 27 Learn about Competitive Trail Riding in a mock trail ride with real NATRC judges in a very fun, safe non-competitive environment Hopefully in Dupont NC about 3 1/2 hrs away.

August Trail ride in Patrick SC the sandhills moonlight ride time to be announce following the full moon schedule.
September Gymkana with Carol Land She knows how to do it all. We will learn fun Pony Club games like jousting rings , dropping balls , Broom polo and more Date and Time TBD
October Learn How to Teach your horse to Navigate Natural Jumping Obstacles and Learn form so you don't get left behind taught by Alyssia of Carolina Country Acres Monroe Date and Time TBA
November Very Exciting News we are working with one of our members who has a beach house to go to the Beach and Bring our Horses for the weekend Time TBD
December 8 Fun Show 2pm Place TBD Everyone must make up 1 class example: Multitasker Obstacle Course You (mounted)and your horse must go thru a set of cones on the ground while holding a cell phone in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
Other things we are working on a Intro Dressage Clinic . meeting Jog 'n Trot traveling tack store National Games Rally this is coming from National OPRC We can also meet unmounted more often if we want to just let me know. Ever wondered what Fox Hunting is Like? Dominique of Honeysuckle Farms and Mecklenburg Hounds may put togther a Intro to Fox Hunting with Hounds just for our OPRC
